Planning Officers must have those dodgy glasses on again.
An objector living at 79f High Road Canvey posted an objection to Persimmon’s proposal to develop on Green Belt at the Dutch Village.
He / She wrote:
“We don’t really want anymore houses. We cannot fit anymore on Canvey Island it will cause even more congestion. All we want is another road off the Island. We had enough of new buildings going up now. No more houses. We are trying to save up for flood defences on Canvey and we need more police on the Island.”
From this a Council Officer has considered that this comment:
“Customer made comments neither objecting to or (sic) supporting the Planning Application.”
Is it any wonder that there appears to be an apathy towards involvement with Council matters.
The “it’s a done deal” view that we are up against may have some merit.
Someone, with Canvey concerns really needs to sort this apparently biased officialdom out.
Otherwise we will be travelling down the Core Strategy route of “Unsound” Planning!
